HERE WE GO AGAIN
after an exhaustive afternoon on the phones and emails etc and after hearing from DPI Vic at the round table meetings it would seem we have been lied to again and the taking of Thresheres in Vic SA TAS and WA waters as well as out to the EEZ zone to the south will be illegal
Fact 1 myself and VRFish have rand VIC DPI and emailed thoughout the last couple of weeks with little to no response
DAFF cant tell us if threshers are withing the IOTC mandate or not
and AGAIN an overseas organisation has decided they know our fishery better than us and have banned us from taking another species that is not migrationary around our coastline
believe me this is only the precurser according to HSIs response to the Hawke review and PEWs activities within the IOTC and other organisations MORE SPECIES SUCH AS TUNAS will follow
having spoken to Senator Colbecks office today i would suggest a press release tomorrow or the day after and WE FISH will be releasing something shortly too
